We build one thing, and we build it properly.
Datahone turns documents into structured data. That is the whole product. Everything here explains who is behind it and how it is run.
Why Datahone exists
Most teams still move data out of documents by hand. Somebody opens a purchase order, reads a total, and types it into another system. It is slow, it is expensive, and it is where errors enter a business — quietly, one keystroke at a time.
The tools built to solve this mostly ask you to describe your documents first: draw zones, build templates, maintain rules for every supplier who changes their layout. That works until it does not, and maintaining it becomes its own job.
Datahone takes the other approach. A multi-modal model reads the page the way a person would — understanding context rather than matching coordinates — so scanned PDFs, photographed receipts, handwritten notes and unstructured emails are ordinary inputs rather than edge cases. Where the model is not confident, the field goes to a review queue instead of silently entering your systems.
How we run it
Documents are processed, not collected
We process what you send us in order to return structured data, and nothing else. We do not use customer documents or extractions to train models. Retention is a setting you control, and deletion means deletion.
Your data is stored in the EU
Documents are stored on EU infrastructure, encrypted at rest and in transit. AI extraction is carried out by providers outside the UK and EEA under Standard Contractual Clauses. The full technical detail — including our sub-processors and what each one receives — is on the data and security page.
Pricing has a hard ceiling
Every plan is a per-page allowance with a hard cap. When the allowance is spent, processing stops until you raise it. There is no overage line that appears on an invoice you did not expect, and failed pages are refunded automatically.
